- 20:30Rivalry in Music - Callas vs. Tebaldi
classical music documentary
Rivalry in Music - Callas vs. Tebaldi Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi were the two most famous sopranos of the second half of the last century. Turned into hostile enemies by their admirers, the two became untouchable goddesses of opera. For their fans, Callas was known as 'the tigress', Tebaldi as 'the voice of an angel': the two singers could hardly have been more different, whether in their professional or private lives. To this day, Callas remains perhaps the greatest soprano of all time. Her rival, Tebaldi, is best known to opera lovers. Why is the posthumous fame of the two prima donnas so different? Directed by Andreas Morell 2020

- 3:00Madeleine Peyroux at Bordeaux's Grand-Théâtre
jazz concert
Born in the United States, Madeleine Peyroux is a jazz singer and guitarist with an unclassifiable style and an exceptional artistic personality, carried by a voice that is both soft and husky, with blues and folk accents. After spending part of her childhood in the United States, she moved to France as a teenager where she joined her first jazz bands. An atypical artist, she performs a lot in the street while participating in festivals and creating her own albums. In 2004, she had an international success with Careless Love. Other albums have been released since, including the recent Anthem (2018), the title of which is taken from a Leonard Cohen song.
